01 — Who we are
Eider Elevators & Escalators started in 2013 as a small erection crew in Battrahalli. We manufacture, install, modernise and maintain lifts — and twelve years on we still do all four ourselves.
Battrahalli — survey, assembly and service all run from one floor.
The company is owned and run by Anand Gowda, who still walks most site surveys himself. That is deliberate. On a lift, the distance between what was promised at the survey and what actually arrives on site is where projects go wrong — so the person who quotes it is the person who answers for it.
We work from two offices in east Bengaluru and cover the whole job: new installation, annual maintenance, modernisation of ageing lifts of any make, and the statutory certification that lets you switch one on. There is no subcontracted crew between you and us, and the phone is answered seven days a week.

Eight weeks is typical from signed drawings to handover, for a standard passenger or home lift. A capsule or a car lift with structural work takes longer. The survey tells you the real number before you commit — we would rather quote twelve weeks and mean it than promise six.
Yes. Roughly half our maintenance work is on other manufacturers’ equipment, and modernisation is a large part of what we do — new controller, drive, doors or car interior on any make, usually without touching the shaft.
It depends on stops, speed, door type and cabin finish far more than on the badge. That is why the site survey is free and the quote is line-item rather than a lump sum: you can see exactly what each part of the price is buying, and take things out if you need to.
We do. The statutory paperwork is filed by us, we walk the inspection with you, and the lift is handed over licensed and legal to switch on — not waiting on an approval. Renewals and periodic inspections are covered under the AMC afterwards.
Yes, across Karnataka. Installation travels anywhere we can reach and support properly; for maintenance contracts we are honest about distance, because an AMC only means something if we can actually be there when a lift stops.

The survey was honest about what our shaft could actually take, which no one else had been. Two firms had quoted us for a lift that would never have fitted.
They said eight weeks and they hit it, which we had stopped expecting from any vendor. The licence paperwork was filed and cleared before the handover date.
